~Merry Christmas Everyone, From The Darling Dinky Dogs.~

[Post by Daisy] Mom's putting out Christmas things, and loves this photo of me with the Snowman. Her Grampa painted the winter scene behind me, 80 years ago. She thinks he'd be glad to see we used it in our Christmas photo. Christmas is always about family and memories, good times, and love. Have a Splendid Holiday Season, From all of us Dinky Dogs...Daisy, Sophie, Waldo, Baby Joy and Clancy. Woof!!

~Dinky Daisy's Baby Picture~

[Post by Daisy] Here's my baby picture. This was the first day I came to live with my Mom. The first thing she did was give me a bath with baby shampoo and brush my hair with a baby brush. Then she put me in this little basket with a warm pink blanket. I liked it right away and spent a lot of my time sleeping in it at first. We kept it in Mom's kitchen in a warm corner out of the way. It was the beginning of a new life for me! / This is Daisy's Mom... As you can see, Daisy liked to pose pretty for pictures right from the start! She has an engaging gaze! :)

~Dinky Daisy On Christmas Cards~

[Post by Dinky Daisy] Here's some Christmas Cards with my photos on them. They were made at Mom says she could get some of these made with all of us dogs, and cut out the ornaments to hang on the Christmas Tree! I think that's a super idea, Don't you? Looking forward to Christmas...there's always something fun going on!

Sweet Sophie The Chihuahua On A Rubics Cube, For A Christmas Ornament.

[Post by Sophie] Hello everybody! I haven't made a post for a while, because Dinky Daisy has been hogging the blog a bit! I really don't mind, because I love her very much, but it's time for us other dogs to get a turn. So today we're sharing a photo of Sweet Little Me put on a Rubics Cube. Mom thinks it would be fun this year to print out our photos on Rubics Cubes, and then cut them out and put them on the Christmas Tree for ornaments! Two photos can be glued back to back to made a two sidded ornament if you wish. Isn't that a Great Idea? She's going to make some other ones with the other dogs, and we will have a Barking Good Christmas this year! If you'd like to turn your photos into Rubics Cubes and get other fun photo effects, visit It's free! And if you do, please come back and leave us a message! We'd love to hear from you! Bark! Bark!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Thanksgiving is only 2 days away! Oh, I give thanks for good friends and family, good health, good food, and all the extra holiday treats I'll be getting! UUUmmmmm, turkey, stuffing and gravy, my favorite! I don't care much for cranberry sauce though! Ick..!!! Or mini Gerkins...or celery. Who would like to eat celery anyway? I think it's served just to fill us up before the good stuff arrives! But I'm on to 'em. Just save a drum stick for me Mom! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!! Kiss Kiss...

It's 2 Years Since My Maltese Sadie Died.

It's 2 years ago today since my beloved Sadie died. Be a good girl in Heaven Sweet Sadie until I get there. Momma loves you and misses you so much.

Here is a Joyous photo of my Maltese Sadie throwing leaves on herself! She used to love to jump in the newly raked piles of leaves and burrow tunnels into them. If the other dogs came close enough, she would push them into a leaf pile and cover them up. It was so funny to watch. She was a funny, silly dog that knew how to have a good time. (I miss you Sadie. Here's a Hug for You in Doggie Heaven with Doggie Kisses and Tail Wags from the Dogs.)

[Post By Dinky Daisy} Oh, Halloween was such a fright! Lots of little people with horrible faces and scary clothes came to the door and rang and rang the bell. I barked as I heard them coming up the front walk, but it didn't stop them a bit. Mom kept opening the door to them, even though I warned her not to! Sometimes I don't think she listens to me very well. I'll have to try harder to train her!!

After Mom opened the door, she gave sweet smelling candy to each of the scary little people. I don't know what she'd want to do that for! They must have told each other about it, because it seemed as if every little person in town came to our door!

I asked Mom if I could have some of the candy too, so she gave me a little piece of candy that was yellow, orange and white and looked a bit like corn. These were very good, and all of us dogs got some. Oh, I forgot to tell you that I wasn't the only one of us dogs that was barking...all 5 of us were! The little scary people seemed to be impressed by all the noise we were making, and after getting their candy from Mom, they quickly ran away again. I know we must have scared them! And as any dog knows, anytime a dog can scare a person away, WE WIN! So after a couple of hours, the little creatures must have passed the word around that there were 5 terrible, fierce dogs at our house, because they quit coming. Whew, that was a long night's work for us 5 little dogs. After Mom said what good little doggies we were, she gave each of us one last piece of candy. Then we all piled on top of each other in our dog bed for a good night's rest, proud that we'd done our job well of protecting our home.

Dinky Daisy wishes you all a Happy and safe Halloween. She plans on barking her head off every time a little kid comes to the door. Just doing her job, she says...

Dinky Daisy, The Diva.

Dinky Daisy's a Diva! Not really, she just loves to play dress up. She likes the extra attention she gets when I take her photo and tell her how pretty she is. She's a darling little dog. She's a 3 year old Pomchi, or Pomeranian Chihuahua. She has funny long smooth hair and a sweet disposition. She's always wagging her tail. She's my baby, and she still has puppy ways. She's just a dainty little girl dog who "Loves Being A Girl!" She sends tail wags and puppy kisses to you all!

I decided to give my Maggie away...I miss her...

I'm sorry to report that I decided to give my Maggie away. I've never had to give a dog away before and it broke my heart, because I loved her very much. But she was too big and strong for my little Chihuahuas. She grew to be 16 pounds, and they're about 8 pounds. She would tackle Daisy as if she was a Middle Line Backer, and POW, Daisy would go tumbling over. Then Daisy's knee was damaged by all this rough play, and she'd limp around, and hide under the table whenever Maggie was around. This wasn't fair to Daisy, so, as much as I was sorry to do it, I let Maggie go to a nice family with two teenage boys, who promised to roll around on the floor with her, take her for long walks and let her sleep with them on the couch in the evenings. Good-Bye My Dear Little Mags. I'll miss you, but I won't forget you. Be good. (sigh...)PS, After a few weeks Daisy's leg improved and now she kicks up her heals and plays happily in the garden again, and I'm sure I did the right thing. Dear Daisy...she's so sweet.

Maggie Chewed Up This Root Beer Can, Among Other Things...

Maggie was a chewer. Everything she could get her big mouth around. I didn't see her with this can until she'd eaten half of it. Luckily everything came out all right in the end! :)

My Maggie, the Pug. (We changed her name from Sally, because she liked Maggie better.)

Here's Maggie at 9 months old. I love her so much, but she is so headstrong and active, she's overpowering the other little dogs. I'm broken hearted to think I may have to give her up. The breeder said she would take her back and give someone else a chance with her. She needs patience and discipline, and would do better with a younger family. I'm so sad. I have a few days to decide.

Silly Sally The Pug is a charming little dog. She's perky, bright, playful, curious, and fun to be around. She has so much to learn, and Baby Joy has taken on the job of teaching her. They play constantly, and love to run circles around the garden. I'm so glad it's Spring again and they can play outside. Sally makes funny Snarfly noises because of her pushed in nose. And when you talk to her and she looks up at you and listens, she cocks her head from side to side. I love this Pug trait. It always makes me laugh. I've been wanting a Pug for 2 years, and I got her for my Birthday. So Happy Birthday to me !!! ~Carol Jean~

What To Do If Your Dog Doesn't Know How To Play...

A friend of mine says her dog doesn't seem to know how to play, so I told her, try different things. Every dog likes something different, mine like to tear up paper, rip holes in the carpet, dump over the garbage in the kitchen, eat holes in the blanket on the bed, chew up sticks on the bedroom floor to make bits of sawdust-like splinters, dig holes in the garden for me to step in, and hide rocks around the house that they've brought inside from the garden. And this is just this week, times 6 little dogs.
Be creative, think like a dog !!!

This is Silly Sally The Pug looking like Mr. Toad in her Bunny suit. Isn't she hilarious?
