*Dinky Daisy Dressed As A Country Girl*

Here I am, dressed as a Country Girl ready for a pick-nick. We'll be having a lot of pick-nicks this summer I hope. We'll get together with the Beagles next door, and play a game of tag. Then, we'll have a race around the racetrack along the inside of the fence. After a game of touch foot ball, we'll snack on some Nacho Chips until the Hot Dogs are ready to eat. (Do you think they're really made from DOGS? The neighbor boy said so, but I think he was just pulling my leg!) Then we'll eat Graham Crackers while the grown ups eat Sm'ores. We won't be having any though, because they say Chocolate and Marshmallows aren't too good for little dogs. Then we'll sit by the dieing embers of the fire and remember other summer days, and say a prayer for absent friends. As the stars spread across the sky, we'll say good night, and watch as our neighbors walk home, glad to have had such an enjoyable day together. Hurry Summer...I can't wait!

***Dinky Daisy On Quilting Fabric***

Mom wants to share this story with you..."A couple of years ago, I bought a bag of depression era quilting scraps at a flea market. The scraps were cut in the shape of petals to be sewn in a daisy style quilt block. Looking through the scraps, I found only one with a cute white Scottie dog wearing a red bow, on a blue background. I loved this print and thought about the Aunt Grace 1930's Reproduction fabrics designed by Judy Rothermel. I sent the scrap to Judy at the School House Quilt Shoppe, and she used it in her next Aunt Grace fabric line. When it was printed she sent me a yard of it as a thank you. Now I can sew little white Scottie dogs into all my scrap quilts, and enjoy the thought that this fabric print is now reproduced for a new generation to enjoy! (I see Judy still has some of the fabric left, and is selling it at $8.00 a yard.) I think it looks like Dinky Daisy, don't you?"

**Plans For A Romantic Evening**

[Post by Dinky Daisy] I'm looking forward to a romantic evening with Clancy. I've decorated with candles and flowers, and lots of soft fluffy pillows and tiger print rugs. I'll be serving liver on crackers, cheese and chips, shortbread cookies and milk. We'll put on some romantic music and light a fire in the fireplace. Oh, it will be just lovely, don't you think? Happy Valentine's Day Everyone. We send doggie kisses to you all.
