Baby Joy all grown up. She's a Chorkie, a Chihuahua/Yorkie, 1 1/2 years old. Waldo is a Chinese Crested, 3 years old. Clancy is a Pomch, a Pomeranian/Chihuahua, 4 years old. It's still winter here and there's been lots of snow. I helped Mom make a snowman yesterday. I said I'd rather make a snow dog, but by that time we were all out of snow! Here's Maggie at 9 months old. I love her so much, but she is so headstrong and active, she's overpowering the other little dogs. I'm broken hearted to think I may have to give her up. The breeder said she would take her back and give someone else a chance with her. She needs patience and discipline, and would do better with a younger family. I'm so sad. I am sad to report that Gidget the Chihuahua, whose Taco Bell commercials made her a star, has died. She was 15. On July 21, 2009 Gidget was euthanized after suffering a massive stroke. I always loved those commercials, didn't you? She will be missed.

Meet Baby Joy, A Chorkie puppy. She's 9 weeks old. She was born on April 22, 2009. A Chorkie is a hybrid "designer dog" who is half Chihuahua and half Yorkie. Joy's mother was a 5 1/2 pound Yorkie and her father was a 7 pound Merle Chihuahua. I don't know if the father was long or short haired, but one of the other puppies in the litter was a short haired Merle. At 9 weeks, Joy weighs 2 pounds.

Little Dinky Daisy turned two in May. Daisy is a Pomchi, or a Pomeranian Chihuahua. Her hair has grown out quite long and wavy. She has such a sweet little face, but sure looks different than she did in her baby photos, don't you think? We hope to take more new photos of her soon, but for now, here is a very sweet one of her. Pretty Pepe is now 11 years old. He was raised by a Dog Breeder that has Champion AKC Dogs. Meet Wonderful Waldo! Waldo is a Royal Hairless Chinese Crested Dog. He is now one and a half years old. Waldo is an unusual dog, and he's also unusual for a Chinese Crested. The breed standard says Cresteds range from 6 - 12 pounds. Waldo is now 22 pounds! He's not fat, he just grew to be a big strong dog. Also, most Cresteds are some combination of Black and white. I'm so sorry to report that My Sadie (in the first photo)passed away this week. She was almost 12 years old. I knew I was losing her for some time, but was still so sad to see her go. The funniest thing happened tonight. First, let me introduce Clancy. He's a Pomchi, a Pomeranian Chihuahua. Last year we took him in as a stray. I came across these photos of myself today and just thought I'd share them with you. I have very few photos of myself as a child. I'm surprised to see that I look exactly like my son Chris did at that age, curls and all. I didn't cut his beautiful red curls until he was two. My curls were blond. I just love this dog. Look at that sweet face and those amazing eyes! Waldo is the only dog I have that is not Chihuahua or part Chihuahua. He's not really Dinky either. The breed standard from the AKC for Chinese Crested Dogs says that they should be between six and twelve pounds, so that's what I expected. Genny-Poo just hates to take a bath. You can't say the word B-A-T-H or let her see you getting out the towel or she will hide under the furniture for days. She also won't let me catch her, because she always thinks I'm going to do something to her that she won't like.
